# No account. No email. No "create your profile."

_The Sealed Journal asks for one thing on first run: a passphrase you choose. That's it. That's the entire onboarding._

Every signup form is a small surveillance tax. Most journals charge it. We don't.

There is no account because there is no server holding your account. Your data is local. Your identity is not our business.

If you ever stop using it, there's nothing to delete on our end. There never was anything on our end.

## Questions

### Do I need an email address to use it?

No. There is no signup, no login, no verification link. You open the file and choose a passphrase.

### What do you know about me after I buy?

Only what the payment processor needs for the receipt and tax record. Nothing about your writing, because none of it reaches us.

### Can I use it under a pseudonym?

Yes. The journal has no identity layer at all, so there is nothing to name.
