In Write mode, your cursor remains exactly at the centre of the screen. The page rises up to meet it. Past words fade into soft shadow at the edges, leaving the present sentence in clear focus. Switch to Read mode and the entry flattens into an evenly lit document — the fade is for writing; the flat light is for returning.

That is what the encryption and the absence of sync are for. Nothing is uploaded, indexed, or backed up without you doing it.
Should I write about trauma without support?
Expressive writing helps many people, but if the material is overwhelming, do it with a clinician rather than alone at 3 a.m.
Can I destroy an entry completely?
Yes. Delete it, or delete the whole file. Without your passphrase, what remains on disk is noise.
